Life of William Shakespeare

William Shakespeare was in Stratford to John Shakeapeare and Mary Arden and was baptises on April 26 1564. He was the thrid of eight. He attened the Grammar School in Stratford. In 1582 he married Anne Hathaway and have three children. Seven years later in London he was recognized as a successful actor, play writer and part owner of a playing company called the Lord Chamberlain's Men which was later known as the King's Men .

In 1613, he went back to his home town of Stratford where he died three years later. William Shakespeare went through 'Lost Years" (1578-1582) as all thriving artist does but regain himself. He wrote most of his known work between 1589-1613.

His early plays were mainly comedies and histories. He then went on to write tragedies until 1608 including Hamlet, King Lear and Macbeth, which were considered to be his finest works. In his last phase he went on to write romances. He then retired to Stratford in 1613 where he died three years later.
